That was a painful last 5 minutes of the half.

Very painful. We were the side that needed a few breaks to go our way to have a chance in this game, and the Irish instead get the blocked punt. Then the offensive series that stalled by a few inches: I thought Mills would manage the scramble and get it, but somehow he couldn't stretch enough. Finally, our defense just failed on Notre Dame's next offensive series after looking so tough most of the half. Amazing how fast momentum can shift.

Smart call to punt at the end of the half. Too much risk of a hail mary being intercepted and returned for a TD.

I officially have a headache after those last five minutes.

Reiss/Husak saying they should’ve called a timeout to give officials a chance to review Mills’ forward progress. Plus the punter was lined up too close to LOS and then took two steps forward, making the block almost inevitable.

Yes, it seemed Sanborn was much too close. Looked dicey from the start. That cost us.
Looks like Minnesota is going down. Down 24-10 vs. Wisconsin late in the 3rd.

Congrats to the LSJUMB by managing to earn some boos from the assembled Notre Dame faithful.

Seriously or sarcastically? I was expecting Teejers to check in and inform us that punting was an AYFKM play.
As a fan I would have liked to see them take a shot, but of course the chances of scoring would have been low.

It's a game of inches. We're so close and our guys are playing hard.

In other action, Auburn has drawn to within 31-30 against Alabama.
Michigan got clobbered by TOSU.

If you have to ask, then sarcasm is a good bet.

On an unrelated note, the pho really hit the spot at halftime.

We blitzed on that third down play and “forced” an incompletion. Mostly the receiver slipped, but I will take that plus the missed field goal. Anyone know if it was tipped? It looked like a pretty bad kick.

That's a stop and no points for the Irish. Nice start.

Clean, though looked liked a little slice.

I see our S&C woes have affected even the dollies. Knee brace on one of them.

That was a short offensive series. Notre Dame's defensive is ratcheting up the pressure.

It's even affecting the fans: I am also wearing a knee brace right now.
Past midnight over here. But I'm in for the long haul.

Well, we force a three and out too.

ND defense is much more disruptive than in the first part of the game. They are hurrying Mills, and that throws him off. The number of incomplete passes is rising.

Nice hurdle by St. brown, but Mills is having trouble down the middle.

Yeah, wish we would run the ball on favorable downs. Second and five would have been a good time.

Mills's accuracy is also dropping.
Another 3 and out.
And it's tough to expect the D to hold on repeated ND possessions.
