Wright is a 6'9" mega-whale and primary target in '22.
What does Haase continue telling elite recruits after proving he can't win with them or improve their draft position?
Whales don't need to "improve their draft position." They already have one and just go through the motions for a year.
3 draftees in 3 straight years. One of whom was never supposed to be an NBA-caliber talent (Terry), and one of whom was only offered by Stanford in HS (Okpala).
What is UConn telling their MBB recruits? They signed 3 Isa Silva-level recruits and 2 more the year before. They made the tournament ONCE in the last 5 seasons (this past one, in which they lost in the first round) and have had zero players drafted in that span.
Nebraska signed a whale and they are horrible. (He's from South Carolina. No connection to the program.)
I agree about Stanford's pitch to recruits, but just had to nitpick on UCONN and Nebraska. The whale Nebraska has signed is the younger brother of their current starting PG, so that's why they landed Bryce McGowens. UCONN will have a lottery pick in this year's draft in James Bouknight and Dan Hurley has UCONN on the uptick, they should be tournament good from here on out.

Interesting to read that Koa Peat (Andrus Peat's brother) was holding his own as the youngest player at the prestigious Pangos All America camp in Las Vegas. He's a 6'7" 14-year-old with offers from Texas and USC among others. He's in the Class of 2025 (!) but someone to watch down the road.

Offers to 8th graders when you can't "officially contact" recruits until sophomore year. Sounds about right.

Interesting.
I couldn't remember that because I hadn't known it.
According to Perfect Game, Stanford has:
10 commits/signed for 2021
9 commits for 2022
10 commits for 2023
(they don't go to 2024)
By contrast places like Vanderbilt have
24 signed for 2021
17 commits for 2022
15 commits for 2023
Perfect Game also rates Stanford's classes as #45, #31, and #22.
There is a significant markdown for volume, which Stanford sees in most every sport.

I use Perfect game
Another remember or reminder many of the committed players to many schools go sign out of HS after the draft

Yes, but college coaches can call the player's parents and coaches and tell them to tell the recruit to call them (the coaches). That's legal.

Yes! But can they rebound or hit the 3? ;)
