Their last game ever in a Stanford uniform at Maples too.

Cameron is one RB away from a double-double.

"I'm Lexie Hull and you're not!" . . . points at Lacie and says "but you're close."

WOW, Lexie!   Just WOW!

You're going to be brutally missed next season, along with twin Lacie and WILSON.....

Career high for Lexie on her last game at Maples.

Looks like we are going to cover the 20.5 point spread.  We just took the heart out of the Jayhawks in the 3rd Q.  They have given up.

With 4:54 left and at 80-50, it's time to bring in the 3rd 5's (IRIAFEN, DEMETRE, BOSGANA, JEROME, EMMA-NNOPU)

Well deserved ovation for Hull as she subs out (probably for the last time at Maples).

All right now!  58 points in the second half, 91 for the game.

Maryland next.

Tara switched out the decaf at halftime.

I know a lot of people played well in the second half.  But I feel Lexie Hull just decided to win the game all by herself.  And she did.

RE: WBB: Stanford vs. Kansas Sun 6pm - TheFarm07 - 03-20-2022

We win 91-65 as the Hull sisters end their Maples career in style, especially Lexie.

Lexie saved her best at Maples for last, setting a career-high in points with 36 on 14/21 shooting, 6/11 from 3-pt range. She also had 6 rebounds, 6 steals and 3 assists. She also contributed in ways not on the stat sheet. When the game was still tense and in doubt, she was the one scrambling for loose balls and diving on the floor, willing to give up her body.

The Hulls and Wilson will be sorely missed after this season is over. Let's savor every last minute that they are playing in a Stanford uniform for us.

Brink had a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds and was the only other player in double figures, but with Lexie's amazing evening, we did not need too much else.

Our depth also was on display with three other players scoring at least 7 points each and 12 players scoring overall.

We shot a very healthy 55.9% from the floor including 48% from long range and 19 of our 34 baskets were assisted on. We also took much better care of the basketball in the second half with just four turnovers compared to ten. I think that was a significant factor in changing the game from a close affair to a blowout.

We were shooting the ball well all game long; we were denying ourselves the chance to in the first half with those silly errors and errant passes. When we cleaned those up, we got back to shooting the ball successfully.

Kansas shot a very good 45% from the floor, so we'll need to improve our defense going forward but they also turned over the ball 19 times. That is another key stat. We were tied in turnovers at the half with 10 apiece, but the Jayhawks had more than double ours in the second half. We also limited them to just seven offensive rebounds, after giving up 4 or 5 in the first half alone.

Onto to Spokane and a rematch with Maryland, which promises to be a high scoring affair.

Nice play by Iriafen on both ends of the floor.

Maples was LOUD and the fans were engaged. What a great environment.

RE: WBB: Stanford vs. Kansas Sun 6pm - martyup - 03-20-2022

How about 10 for 11 from the FT line!

In our first two games of the tourney we have outscored our opponents by a combined 67 points.

Stanford fans are undoubtedly feeling better about their team's prospects than SC fans.  Today SC shot a dismal 24%/26% in their win over Miami (49-33).  I'm not saying SC will be an easy opponent, but they proved today that they are vulnerable.

2 down.  4 to go.  Keep winning and cut down the nets.  Remember you're loved.

Moving forward to Spokane, I want to see Haley JONES bring her 2021 NCAA tourney MOP form.  Stanford will need her at her best vs Maryland and Texas....
