RE: Stanford alums to score in the Super Bowl.
I'd have to Google so I can only guess but must be around 10?  Maybe 4 more if you count QB passing TDs? I suspect we're closer to 'bama then many might expect.  I can't think of that many Alabama players that have scored in the SB but there must be some.

Asked the same question on another site, looks like six. Tony Hill, John Elway, Doug Baldwin, Austin Hooper, Zack Ertz, and C Mac

As for Bama, your thinking was correct. Zero (Hurts counts for Oklahoma). An odd stat for sure and couldn't believe it when I read it on a Bama board. . . .

Which colleges have produced both a U.S. President and a Super Bowl winning QB?

Apologies if this question has been posted before.

Well, the easy one is Stanford, with the guy who forgot to bring the ball to the first Big Game, that dude from San Jose, and that guy whose dad coached at San Jose.

The Fightin' Blue Hens of Delaware with a couple of Joes - Biden & Flacco.

RE: Sports trivia thread 2025 - terry - 01-30-2025

All correct! That's all five of them!

RE: Sports trivia thread 2025 - Mick - 01-30-2025

Cool question.

Who do you think is most likely the next college to produce both? Ohio State? Current VP is alum of tOSU, and Justin Fields and CJ Stroud are also alums. The Texans were 10-7, won the first round, lost to the Chiefs, but it was pretty close.

Clemson perhaps? Haley, Lawrence and well, Watson.

Don't think Santa Clara's bringing back football anytime soon. . . .

No idea. I assume you're not talking about the football players who became pros; they were all well-known. Quite a few of them were in WWII. One of them, from what I understand, essentially turned around the finances of Stanford post-WWII as Stanford's first business manager. I don't recall his name.

I remember David Packard's career was ~ that time, but it seems he made a bigger mark as part of a garage band....

Funny Palm Tree and you are correct on Packard.
