Off the right upright!  No points for Louisville!  And excellent pass defense to force the FG attempt.  Whew.

RE: Louisville Game Thread - TriangleTree - 10-31-2026

Boink!
Missed FG
Yeah!

RE: Louisville Game Thread - JJJ - 10-31-2026

Doink!

RE: Louisville Game Thread - fullmetal - 10-31-2026

Ford can do it all.  Run for 5, catch for 6.

3:43 left in the third quarter...not that much time left to score.  Get it together, guys.

Followed up with a false start.  Guys.

What the fk Pritchard.

At least the defense gets a bit of rest?

Why? Cause it didn’t work. Niners ran that play for about a 70 yard touchdown couple weeks ago.

There should be a review for targeting and I think it was.

RE: Louisville Game Thread - JeebsOak - 10-31-2026

I think that’s the dumbest play call I’ve seen in fourty year of watching Stanford football

RE: Louisville Game Thread - Orange Mark - 10-31-2026

Trick play fail. That sucked.

RE: Louisville Game Thread - JeebsOak - 10-31-2026

I guess we don’t need to check the obvious targeting

No differences from Stanford and the 49ers right?

Cause it USUALLY doesn't work.  You need a lot of things to go right to pull off a trick play like that.  High risk, somewhat decent reward play run against a defense that was already dropping back deep on 3rd and 12 with enough guys in the middle to disrupt a cute attempt like that...

So maybe unlike 2007 U$C, Stanford will fight hard and then just give away the game on self-inflicted errors like this...In tight games like this against superior opponents on paper, you cannot risk errors.

RE: Louisville Game Thread - JeebsOak - 10-31-2026

ACC gotta protect their refs so they won’t show the play again lol

RE: Louisville Game Thread - lex24 - 10-31-2026

Well, he’s aggressive….

RE: Louisville Game Thread - JeebsOak - 10-31-2026

That’s not a pick

RE: Louisville Game Thread - fullmetal - 10-31-2026

Stanford with three turnovers to Louisville's one.  We are not following the NC State scripts to win.  Ugh, another failed tackle.

RE: Louisville Game Thread - JeebsOak - 10-31-2026

37 missed tackles, this team sucks

RE: Louisville Game Thread - Spiny_Norman - 10-31-2026

Stanford 1-10 on 3rd down won't get it done.

RE: Louisville Game Thread - fullmetal - 10-31-2026

Exactly zero outside contain on the fly sweeps :(
