I'm sure the Stanford Band thread is still up towards the top. There is a way to look up posts by an individual poster, but I've never done it and couldn't tell you how. If you go to the bother, you will see that I have expressed nothing but respect for Stanford. Sure, you will see some moronic posts, but every fan base has them and they are in a pretty small minority. Lots of love for Stanford over there.

Funny, because as I was watching the game, it seemed to me the OSU band was trying to disrupt Stanford's play at the line of scrimmage. They would be creating dissonant noise while our guys were lined up for the snap, or so it sounded/appeared from the broadcast. Isn't there a rule that you can only be playing when the offense is in the huddle? It's the same BS the Oregon band was pulling at Stanford Stadium. Trying to effect the outcome of the game comes across as a much higher crime than a goofy pregame show or playing after the game for longer than you're welcome.

I read the first 3 or 4 pages and the thread is pretty funny, actually. It starts off with a post which, in its entirety, says "Ive [sic] never been so pissed before at a band." People who weren't there are asking what everyone's so worked up about and the people who were there are insisting the band insulted their state but couldn't describe the insults because they didn't hear it or see it. By the 3rd page or so, this leads to posts like

I'm talking to some OSU fans here in the airport and it seems that you guys are right about them being fresh meat and not getting it. I forget that OSU was not part of the old southwest conference, which had the Rice Mob. I would think the older UT or A&M fans would probably understand what these kinds of bands are about.Â
As one young lady told me "It was just rude. I know we aren't Stanford but geeze".
As an older female fan told me "The Fiesta Bowl needs to ban them", to which I repllied "I'd love for us to be such regulars to BCS bowls that that threat would be a serious matter."Â To which she laughed.
If we disrupted their award ceremony after the game, that does seem a bit much, but it sounds like our pregame was pretty normal.
