True enough. You are only one of many who can't seem to figure out the virtues of posting about the play of said player After BOTH halves have been played.

I've noticed something about Chiefs fans.  They're winter soldiers.  There's been many a time when I'm staying at a hotel somewhere or wandered into a tourist trap restaurant and I see a large congregation of Chiefs fans clustered around a TV.  I can't say the same about Browns fans - the other hopeless franchise with a loyal fanbase that comes to mind.  Maybe people in Kansas City travel more.

Go Ertz.

Now we've got two former Stanford TE's with touch downs on the day.

This is getting tangential, but I saw another thread on bear insider with a link to pearlsbeforeswine:

At least they have a sense of humor about these things.

Re: This just in... - washingtonismoney - 01-04-2014

My thoughts after seeing that game:

1) Luck.

2) Falling behind 28 illustrates -- in part -- what a mediocre overall team they are. If the Colts don't do their part in putting a quality team around him -- you know, wasting first round picks on mediocre running backs -- it'll be a brobdingnagian shame.

While I largely agree, Luck wasn't exactly helping out with that, with two bad interceptions helping to build that lead.

When the trade happened pretty much everyone thought Indy got a steal. I'm not totally willing to condemn that move in hindsight. I think that this offseason will provide a lot more perspective on whether or not they'll be able to put the pieces together alongside Luck. Of course, it doesn't really help that they've had a lot of injuries at key skill positions this season, my guess is that they'd look a lot better if Wayne and Allen were still around, and without the injuries to their top 2 RBs they wouldn't have done that trade at all.

A) Luck did have three INT's when they fell behind.  So, it is not like he was totally blameless in them falling behind.
B) That Hilton kid is pretty good.  If Reggie Wayne hadn't gotten injured, that's a pretty damned good receiving core.
C) The defense did hold KC to two field goals in the final 1.5 quarters, so there is some potential there.
D) You are right, they need a running game.

Not me! I thought it was really dumb when they did it and now it looks epically dumb. No one drafts running backs in the first round anymore, and for good reason: you can find them nearly any round and they tend to wear down. Donald Brown looks perfectly competent, so I'm not sure why they couldn't just stay in house. (Though -- GODDAMNIT DONALD* -- his pass protection sucks, so I can understand why they're a bit hesitant to hand him the keys.)

A) true! "in part" maybe not doing enough work in my initial comment.
D) I think they need to find many offensive linemen, and really fast. Luck's been the most-hit QB in the league each of the past two years. Especially in the NFL, if you have a good offensive line, you can create running backs and games.

I don't think there's anyone out there who would deny that Indy needs massive upgrades to their OL.
