59ers with 2 turnovers. Old Blues can consult the wikipedia page for "regression to the mean."

A bit premature for this, I think.  Cal can score in bunches, and the first turnover was just a mistake by a normally sure-handed receiver.

Referring specifically to their turnover record, which was clearly luck-driven.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - BostonCard - 10-10-2015

Gonna be a long day for Cal if they can't tackle Booker.  Turned a loss into a 40 yard touchdown.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - BostonCard - 10-10-2015

Cal has a bit to go to fully regress to the mean, but it's on its way; three turnovers in the first quarter.

Questionable throw by Goff

Hope the rest of that regression occurs in the 118th Big Game.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - ThePassionOfTheChryst - 10-10-2015

It's a net benefit for Stanford if Utah wins, and it's usually nice to see C.al lose, but for some reason I can't get fully onto the Utah train tonight.  I want to be excited for a truly meaningful Big Game.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - BostonCard - 10-10-2015

Cal's offense is dependent on their receivers setting picks.  If those start getting called, the Bears will be in trouble.

Lawler is just costing Goff draft spots at this point

Re: Week 6 in opponents - CrazedZooChimp - 10-10-2015

They're unregressing....

Edit:  wait, regressing again.  What a sloppy game.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - ThePassionOfTheChryst - 10-10-2015

This is turning into a really ugly football game.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - stupac2 - 10-10-2015

This game is confusing me. I'm starting to understand why some people weren't buying into the Utah hype, they've been pretty bad at tackling so far, which is surprising to me. I'm also surprised by their seeming inability to run up the middle (though I missed the long TD run somehow, maybe that was better).

And as I'm writing this Wilson threw another INT. This is a sloppy game.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - cardcoug - 10-10-2015

I boldly predict that Travis Wilson falls from his #1 ranked QBR perch after this one.

Both teams have looked bad.  If this wasn't a meaningful conference game I'd have changed the channel already.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - BostonCard - 10-10-2015

WTF?  Rutgers spiked the ball... on fourth down.  That gave Michigan State, the most overrated #4 ranked team in the country, the game.

Michigan - Michigan State next week will be interesting.  I have to believe that Michigan has to be favored at home, probably by more than a touchdown.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - CrazedZooChimp - 10-10-2015

I think the key for Utah is to do nothing but hand it to Booker.  Who cares if Cal has 9 in the box.
