Good stand by the D.

McCaffrey's going to get more attention in the 2H, and this game is going to rest on Hogan's decision making and throws. And hopefully the defense continuing to hold steady.

Why taking three points when you are up already, while not always super satisfying, is not really a bad decision

Sorry, you can afford to come up empty every other try on fourth and short from the one and still be ahead going for it over kicking a field goal.  When you add in the field position benefit from leaving them deep in there own territory, going for it is the right call.

Generally agree on going for it (although there is a good argument for taking the FG and making it effectively a 3 score game), but it you are going to try to go for it, use your situational strength (the OL and Remound) and even if you fail, they're stuck on the 1/2 yd line and the worst probability that can happen is that we go off the field 13-0 and not 13-3.  Giving them the luxury of starting their series on the 6 rather than the goal line is a bit brobdingnagian.

We need to keep feeding him the rock if we're going to win.

They can't stop him.  So give him the ball.  Stop putting Sanders in the game.

Sanders got 1 snap.  No big deal.  Wright got a couple, and did ok except his usual third and goal.  Love got a snap and got a first down.

Is it me or does McCaffrey look a little ill on the sideline (Yes, He's a beast on the field...I'm talking about the sideline).  Saw him take...an aspirin(?)...on the sideline.

Re: CCG Discussion Thread - CompSci87 - 12-05-2015

According to ESPN stats, at halftime McCaffrey is our leading passer and Hogan our leading receiver.  ???

Re: CCG Discussion Thread - ChicagoCard - 12-05-2015

I think Shittu went back in on that stand.

Nope.. I noticed the same exact thing.  I wonder what's going on.

Re: CCG Discussion Thread - DC - 12-05-2015

Yeah, he does look pale and without pep, and did pop a pill.

Re: CCG Discussion Thread - thunder_chik - 12-05-2015

Iowa looking pretty good vs MSU, leading 6-3.  MSU just intercepted a pass in the end zone...

Re: CCG Discussion Thread - BostonCard - 12-05-2015

North Carolina just scored to take the lead against Clemson.

Well if he drops 246 all purpose in one half looking pale and without pep, I'd love to see him at full health.

Re: CCG Discussion Thread - Leftcoast - 12-05-2015

Sanders/Wright went in several times to let McCaffery catch his breath. I've got no problem with that.

Re: CCG Discussion Thread - cardfan77 - 12-05-2015

Maybe he plays better under the weather.  ;)

Re: CCG Discussion Thread - BostonCard - 12-05-2015

Defense is back to its old self.  Thise red zone failures are hurting.

Re: CCG Discussion Thread - cardfan77 - 12-05-2015

I don't like how easy USC is moving the ball.  Defense needs to play tighter.  >:(

Re: CCG Discussion Thread - Tycho124 - 12-05-2015

Harris has not been in on this drive.  On the sideline without his hilmet

Re: CCG Discussion Thread - shinsengumi - 12-05-2015

We seem sluggish on both O and D... so far in the half...

Might need to ride Hogan in this half...

Re: CCG Discussion Thread - Langdude - 12-05-2015

I know you go with what the D gives you, but I really dislike sweeps to the short side.

We need to start airing it out...
