Stackhouse is back to AS; as I recall last year she was down at points during her matches but she's capable of coming back in a hurry.
The surprise is Kersten who has pulled to within 1, and Aubert who is down 4.
Kim is cruising.
We played the back 9 really well yesterday, hope that continues.

As the last group makes the turn at the 9th hole, the match is All Square.

Kersten is 2 down with 3 to play
Danielson is 2 up with 6 to play
Aubert is 4 down with 7 to play
Stackhouse won 9 and 10 to square the match
Kim is 5 up through 9

Looks like it will come down to the result in match 4 - Stackhouse vs. Veysseyre

Stackhouse certainly has proven herself under pressure.  But her opponent, while a freshman, has deep international experience:

Kim is dormie.  6 up with 6 to play
Danielson is 3 up with 4 to play

Kersten has pushed South Carolina's #1 player Dambaugh to the 18th hole.  Kersten is 1 down.

Stackhouse has won 9, 10, 12 and 13 to turn a 2 hole deficit into a 2 up lead with 5 to play.

Kim and Danielson have won, Kersten lost, and Aubert's about to lose (opponent is dormie on her). So all comes down to Mariah, who is 2 up with 5 to play. I'm feeling comfortable with that!

If you have access to a tv and get The Golf Channel, turn it on.  They started broadcasting the quarterfinals at 10:30 pacific.

All the other matches are fairly one-sided, with Duke, UCLA, and UW well in front.

They flipped the arrows for the completed matches; it makes it look like Kim and Danielson lost and that Kersten and Aubert won.

The winner of the Stanford-South Carolina match will play Duke.  And here is another example why medal play results do not foretell match play results.  Duke's players Singh and Boutier struggled during medal play.  Boutier only broke 80 once.  Singh opened with 83 and finished with 77.  Both of them won their singles matches vs. U.S.C.

Match play and medal play are different animals.
