0-5 on 3rd down.  Hard to get excited about that.  We can't pen up Penny all night.  We need to score more points.

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - washingtonismoney - 09-16-2017

The offense looks pathetic. I don't know what they're trying to do out there, the line can't move its opponents backwards, Chryst looks mechanical at best. This is a coaching staff without answers.

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - cardcrimson - 09-16-2017

that was a great 24 yard punt. We're running on all two cylinders.

Stunned at the negativity??? Less than 100 yards of offense in the first half against SDSU!!!

While SDSU isn't terrible, they shouldn't be this close.  Our offense, save for one play, has been absolutely brutal.

Radio broadcast says that Barton dislocated his knee.

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - CompSci87 - 09-16-2017

Great awareness by Cotton to cause a big loss on that gadget play.

Right. Against a defense that gave up 6.18 yards per play to UC Davis and 5.42 against ASU. This is an utterly terrible effort. I guess there's a whole half to redeem itself this game, and then 9 games to improve, but if you're not highly concerned by the offense's first-half effort, I just don't know what to say.

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - dabigv13 - 09-16-2017

Chryst looks like he's taking a step back so far tonight. Hope he isn't repeating Burns season from last year in progression.

And yet approximately on pace to cover the spread. But not the over

I'm thinking he had his tongue firmly pinned to his cheek when he made that comment.

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - gocard14 - 09-16-2017

I'm a positive guy but there's not too much positive to be taken from our offense for this half. Outside of one big play line is getting no push and not pass blocking well, Chryst has no rhythm and throwing a poor deep ball, receivers getting little seperation and so on.

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - cardcrimson - 09-16-2017

12 men in formation? Good coaching!

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - martyup - 09-16-2017

Either our recievers aren't getting separation or Chryst can't find them.

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - North Woods - 09-16-2017

Poor decision and throw... despite lots of time.

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - amartinsu13 - 09-16-2017

what a TERRIBLE THROW. Wedington WIDE OPEN. I'm literally telling my GF they're gonna throw it to #5. He's WIDE OPEN. No, let me throw it to Irwin with 4 GUYS AROUND HIM.

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - cardcrimson - 09-16-2017

How'd they pick  that off. Chryst didn't realize it was quadruple coverage I guess. Thought it was only triple coverage. . ..

Re: Stanford at SDSU Game Thread - Treefence - 09-16-2017

Man, I hope it's not 2 years in a row with bad QB play, especially considering how well we've recruited at that position...
