That is maddeningly vague (not that we are entitled to an answer). I suppose the good news was that the answer wasn’t “Jones will be out for the season with an ACL tear”, which was a very real possibility. However, she is out with no timetable to return so the very real possibility is that the next time we see her in a game is next year.
Regardless, I wish her luck for a full recovery.

I am taking "optimistic about her recovery" as a positive sign. I don't think they would have said that if it looked like she was done for the season. And yes very thankful it's not an ACL requiring surgery.
