The late Fuzzy Zoeller.

Correct. Forrest Urban Zoeller (FUZ or Fuzzy) won the Masters in 1979, his first appearance there. He is one of only three golfers to win the Masters in his first attempt (the other two were Horton Smith and Gene Sarazen in 1934 and 1935 (the first two years of the Masters tournament).

Came up in the first or second paragraph of every three-paragraph Fuzzy obit I read. Not the Masters or U. S. Open or the ten PGA tour wins.

Who was the Giants starting pitcher in the Bobby Thompson walk off pennant winning 1951 HR
Same pitcher for the Dodgers when Yankee Don Larson pitched a perfect game in the world series

I looked it up. His Wikipedia page lists four nicknames, and three of them are "The Flyin' Hawaiian", "The Hawaiian Centipede", and "The Hula-Hipped Hawaiian"
