With all the focus on the offense, let's not ignore that the defense has been extremely awful as well.

To save my emotional balance I may need to treat this as a throwaway game and season.

I'm a lot higher on Burns this game than I have been. He's shown improvement in some of the areas I've been harping on. Granted it's been less than a half, but I'll take what I can get at this point.

My Costello related curiosity is growing by the game, though.

I suppose the good news is we are getting some pressure on Kizer.

Pick six if Kiser throws a real pass.

Will Stanford score tonight?

Re: Stanford - UDFG game thread - BostonCard - 10-15-2016

Hey, a stop!

I would give anything for an offensive series that ends in a touchdown.

Irwin, Irwin, Irwin.  He will get separation.  He will catch the ball.

Re: Stanford - UDFG game thread - martyup - 10-15-2016

I think Love is getting his rhythm.  He is going to break one soon.

Re: Stanford - UDFG game thread - BostonCard - 10-15-2016

He did break one.  Just called back on the hold.

It's one of those years.

That was a nice play by Burns.

It would be nice if there were others.

Very nice throw to Taboada.

Re: Stanford - UDFG game thread - BostonCard - 10-15-2016

WE do.  Three straight throws to tight ends; two first downs.

I smell the fade to JJAW.

Fark.  Another nice drive.  Another turnvoer.

I'm curious what Burns saw on that throw.

Re: Stanford - UDFG game thread - jacketree - 10-15-2016

Yeah, props to Burns on this drive so far even if he missed Rector there......and throws the pick as I type.

Costello era can't come soon enough.

Explain to me again why Burns is the answer.
