Oregon's defense is bad. Really really really bad. Still, I don't know if we could've done this week five, so it's nice to be putting up over five points per drive.

Stanford's gonna get someone fired at this rate.

38 points.

Offensive line dominating point of attack.

And Stanford gets the ball to start the second half.

On pace for 76 points.

Funny line from the color guy: "Elephants on parade."

That was a BS call.  Sympathy call.

Seriously.

Also, we're clearly missing Thomas.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - Phogge - 11-12-2016

Some really bad tackling going on.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - Phogge - 11-12-2016

If he's down they have to spin the clock.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - ChicagoCard - 11-12-2016

Great point. How does that work? Clock should have run.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - French Rage - 11-12-2016

Our highest scoring game all season.  And it's only halftime.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - stupac2 - 11-12-2016

What is Helfrich doing here? That was plenty of time to take a shot at the end zone. Then he misses the field goal anyway. I mean, mistakes in our favor are great and all, but that was weird.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - washingtonismoney - 11-12-2016

Gotta say, this game should be closer than it is -- and the defense has been bailed out. Weird world.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - Mick - 11-12-2016

189 yards passing, 174 yards rushing at the half.  Pretty balanced.

I loved that line too.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - Mick - 11-12-2016

Chryst is 13 for 18 for 189 yards, Bryce love is 3 for 34 yards.  McCaffrey, Schultz, Rector and Areciga-Whiteside all have at least three receptions.  Alfieri has an INT.

So far, so good.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - martyup - 11-12-2016

We're giving up a lot of yardage against the Ducks.  But, our D is playing well in the red zone and keeping the Ducks out of the end zone on most possessions.

Finally, the dam breaks on our offensive production.  Sure, the Ducks are a bad defense.  However, Chryst is making throws that he hasn't been making to before today.  Also, our O line is performing much better.

Let's keep it up and end the Ducks hopes for a bowl game.  GO CARDINAL!

I'm hoping for that too. Just as in '82 when the Giants kept the Dodgers out of the post-season.

I looked at the replay on ESPN, and Oregon had all 11 men in the box while McCaffrey was still in the backfield.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - martyup - 11-12-2016

I'd like to point out that on CGD this morning, both the Bear and Lee Corso picked the Ducks to win this game.  Not so fast!

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - dabigv13 - 11-12-2016

I appreciated the Stanford commercial more than usual this week.

Also like the iguana and snake motif.

Great game all around so far. Chryst looks focused, line getting push, Alfieri with sick INT. Keep it up guys!
