I B-S is the fastest guy on the track team and beat Rector in the Wash. HS championships in the 100. He dropped an underthrown pass from Hogan in 2015 and Shaw hardly played him afterwards.
Terrance Alexander's 10.95 100 meters at a recent meet topped IBS, who ran a 10.98. I really don't think IBS is a P12 level football player.

There is no doubt a reason why IBS hasn't played more, and it isn't because he has been playing behind future NFL first round draft choices. We can always hope for a late emergence though, a la Doug Baldwin.

More recently like last weekend IBS ran a slightly windy 10.61. He win the 100, 200 and ran on the winning and pretty fast 4x100 relay
Iirc Rector and IBS ran in different divisions and both won many state meets

That was Alexander's best ever. I B-S's best ever is 10.53. Better than Rector. Better than CMac or Love. Better than Lofton and any other LSJU track athlete since Larry Questad, IIRC,

Questad had good size and was an Olympic finalist. There was once some mention of coming out for football but nothing happened.

Questad finished 6th in the finals of the Mexico City Olympics 200M, best remembered byTommie Smith's world record (19.83) and his and Jon Carlos's black power salutes at the medal ceremony.

Also set the world record for Stanford at the Fresno relays 1964. 4x100. Still about the biggest shock of my life

Biggest T&F shock of my life was sitting in Cambridge, MA in Oct 1968, watching Bob Beamon shatter the LJ record in Mexico City. Second biggest was when Mike Powell overtook Beamon, 23 YEARS later!

Beamon jump was awesome. But I was at Fresno.  Just in person thrill. Â
I was I the army 1968 snuck into the day room at night to watch the track & field at the Olympics .

My best moment was loading mags as an assistant cameraman right next to the PV pit at the Stanford trials in '60. Don Bragg set the WR and his hot blond girlfriend came out of the stands and jumped him. I bet Bobbbbbbbbbbb was there.
