MT since cal men are playing Oregon state I believe the league and coaches are trying their best to find opponents

Teams are trying hard to play

1.  There is no doubt that the season will be bumpy and go in fits and starts (as we've already witnessed);

2.  It makes total sense for coaches/schools to have open lines of communications with nearby teams that can fill in on short notice;

3.  Everyone will be trying to get games in when they can, given the absence of any guarantees.  And given that the competitors will be fine and the spread risk is minimal - especially for local competitions - I'm fine with such "Plan B" alternative games.

If this policy were to pass I suppose UCLA and USC would have to scramble for venues outside LA County.   I have my doubts the WBB season gets very far along before it is postponed.
I agree.  I have said all along that I will believe this season when I see it.

It looks likely, however, that we will get at least one game in:  today.  Even that much will be a much needed morale boost for the players and coaches, I am sure.  But I have doubts about the sustainability of the season.

As it turns out, it would have been better to move the season earlier instead of moving it later.  Starting the season during the upswing of the worst wave yet does not bode well for an orderly progression.

I wanted to say thank you crackpot for suggesting Sling... I signed up and was able to watch the Stanford @ Cal game and it was worth it with Tara tying Pat and Fran’s dunk... now I should be able to catch more games than I’ve been able to in the past.. and is the next best thing than being able to attend in person

Look out for a nice deal on Sling or such. Easy to set up, and easy to quit when basketball is over.

(Though for the life of me I don't understand why Pac-12 doesn't just sell their own streaming package).

You're very welcome. And when the season is over and you go to quit, they'll be like "Sorry to see you go, good luck." without making you jump through 30 million hoops. It is lovely.

that's my experience with sling as well. easy to enroll, easy to stop, easy to re-enroll  - less than 2 minutes, and the account is then available immediately.

Is sling available when traveling abroad? I will be traveling outside the country and would love to be able to watch Stanford games while away.

If it's not available, I'd guess you might be able to use a VPN to get around any location-specific restrictions.
