AFRN!!!!

RE: STAN vs ND GAME THREAD - Madera86 - 10-15-2022

All right now! We're number one!

Shaw needs to be fired ASAP. His decision-making has been atrocious even when Stanford was winning a long time ago. Those winning years are just distant memories

Our team showed a lot of heart.  Congrats to them.

Shaw saved his job on national TV.

Please don't say that (though it's probably true). I'm trying to enjoy the win. :-)

Yep, they have had four chances in the last year to win the game for us. WSU and Washington last season, OSU and ND this one. At least they succeeded once.

24 hr moratorium on “Fire Shaw”.  Start again on Monday.

I’m enjoying the win and a game plan that led to a win none of us saw coming.  (We’ll almost none, and certainly not me!). Would have been easy to not put it all out there on the road after a heartbreaking loss.

Enjoy the moment.

Stanford only had 12 yards in penalties and zero turnovers (despite many close ones).  We outplayed ND:  21 to 16 first downs; 385 to 311 total yards; 7-16 vs 3-12 on 3rd down; 12 to 30 penalty yards; and 0 to 2 turnovers.

Some people sound downright disappointed that we won.

Stanford played most of the game without #3 & #23 two of better players on D

Take a hike.

It was fun having Coby Fleener (and that other guy) on the broadcast.

RE: STAN vs ND GAME THREAD - martyup - 10-15-2022

ND fans must be questioning their coaching as well.  ND averaged 4.7 yards per rush but decided to throw 27 times (with only 13 completions) and rush 34 times.  The 2 Irish turnovers surely cost them the game.

Actually the real hard-core Negative Nellies haven't been posting. Which is typical.

Also, as someone mentioned earlier, the Fire Shaw crowd needs to take at least a short break.

I'm relieved we won.  I think we were the better team on the field. I'm disappointed with some coaching decisions made tonight, that IMO should have cost us the win.

Why take a hike? Care to add?

I am really happy for the kids.  They have had a poor Stanford football experience and hopefully this is something they can look back on.

I am not sure why anyone is even vaguely surprised by Shaw's poor decision making.  This is par for the course.

And ND is really bad.  Really bad.

Game ball to Filkins.  He is a warrior.
