Re: Week 6 in opponents - stupac2 - 10-10-2015

Utah's running these first few plays is a lot more like what I expected.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - BostonCard - 10-10-2015

Booker just Catoused some poor Cal DB.

Because they got up at 4:45 a.m. body clock time.  I can't walk a straight line at that time of morning.

Just me or were those two non-penalties contradictory?  If the flag for intentional grounding was picked up because there was someone "in the area" then shouldn't the flag for illegal man downfield been in play.  It was picked up because it was a "legal grounding", but that's because it was a pass to someone in the vicinity, and not a grounding.  I would think that it would have been a true "legal grounding" if Goff had been out of the hash marks, which he wasn't.

Looked like Goff started his jump, and then thought "Wait what the hell am I doing?"

Re: Week 6 in opponents - BostonCard - 10-10-2015

Utah is winning the battles at the line of scrimmage.  That bodes well for them going forward.

59ers went from fighting valiantly to getting punked in the physicality battle.

I could see Goff going on fire, though.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - BostonCard - 10-10-2015

Or the bears de-regressing.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - ThePassionOfTheChryst - 10-10-2015

This game has gotten better, thankfully.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - BostonCard - 10-10-2015

Watching the game, I'm feeling better about our offensive line being able to manhandle the Bear "defense".

Re: Week 6 in opponents - ThePassionOfTheChryst - 10-10-2015

Shocked there wasn't a late hit flag on that hit on Wilson

Re: Week 6 in opponents - ThePassionOfTheChryst - 10-10-2015

Goff had Treggs open there

Re: Week 6 in opponents - washingtonismoney - 10-10-2015

That was...dumb.

It sure was.  Throwing into coverage while backpedaling does not a good decision make.

Goff had the Utah DB open there.  That's pick number 5.

FWIW, the announcers called Treggs out for running a bad route on the one where Treggs was open.  I guess he was supposed to be further out.

Goff sure not looking like the #1 pick tonight.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - ThePassionOfTheChryst - 10-10-2015

It speaks very poorly of the Utah offense that Cal has turned the ball over six times yet is still very much in this game.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - BostonCard - 10-10-2015

I thought Cal got away with a hold in the end zone... would have been a safety.

Re: Week 6 in opponents - BostonCard - 10-10-2015

Goff almost had his sixth turnover with a fumble on the roll out.

I really wish Utah had been able to score on one of these drives...
