In the early years of the US News university ranking we were ranked relatively higher, occasionally even finishing 1st, until they perfected the formula so it most accurately reflects each school's relative merit. Similarly, perhaps it's merely a matter of continuing to refine the formula until Stanford is in its proper place in the athletic standings.

"They" needed it. It was an Oklahoma State player who collapsed. Not to say we couldn't have benefitted from "the glove".
