Burns has repeatedly thrown the ball inside when the defender has inside leverage. He's also shown next to no ability to look off defenders or use his eyes effectively at all. It honestly might be time to see what someone else can do, because this team is utterly wasting this defensive effort.

Can he do it again?

In Shaw's era, Stanford is traditionally a great team. Maybe it's time to break a little from tradition and be innovative.Â
Give Chryst more chances. If that doesn't work out, try KJ, if not maybe Llyod?

Nope

For the first time in my 25 years of life, Stanford lost to Colorado. Burns isn't the QB of the future. Stop playing him. Give Costello a chance to get experience.
Team should be embarrassed to play like this on Homecoming.

How the hell did Love finish this game with only four touches?

They should take a safety

Perhaps a final play miracle?

Worst Stanford offense ever.
Worst in the country? At this point, the difference between us and whatever the worst is must be statistically insignificant.

I finally did tune in to Husak, who had very interesting commentary. Here is what I took away from him:
1) Stanford ran the same 1st down running play that did not work over and over and over. The Colorado defense all reacted to the snap and yet we never used it to set up play action.
2) Colorado played 1 on 1 press coverage on our receivers, who did not get open against the coverage. Most of our throws were into coverage. He wondered why we did not use any crossing routes or try the other classic routes to beat 1 on 1, but instead kept running the same routes that never opened up.
3) He wondered why Love was not on the field more--particularly why he and CMac were not played at the same time.
I've always liked Husak--he obviously knows a heck of a lot more than I do. These seem like good questions to me.
As for me--not sure how we can salvage our offensive line at this point. I'm inclined to give another quarterback a chance. Burns seems to get deceived on coverages quite easily--or so said Husak. He was not reading the field properly.

i hope we practiced the special play for this situation.

I seriously cannot see this team beat any team on the rest of the schedule. Even Rice. Total incompetence on offense. Great D, but for what?

Actually, Trent Irwin got open at least a couple of times on hitch-and-go patterns.

I wonder if Shaw will feel that finally he's given the "standard approach" enough time, and will try something--- anything-- different. If KJ wants in, why not let him have a chance?

Stanford losing to teams like WSU and Colorado is unacceptable.Â

We held CO to their lowest scoring of the season. We just couldn't put points on the board.

Sorry guys, right after I posted this Burns did it once again. Really struggling to see why we shouldn't turn the reins over to someone else. Three points on offense with three ugly turnovers is unacceptable.

All 4 turnovers were from Burns. That's enough of that experiment IMO.
