RE: Stanford vs ASU Game Thread - LDN/SG Card - 10-08-2021

D has done a great job last 3/4 drives...

RE: Stanford vs ASU Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-08-2021

8.6 yards per pass; 3.7 yards per rush (excluding sacks)

I don't even know why we are trying to run anymore.  Just let McKee beat them with his arm.  He needs outlets, though.

Just use RBs as auxillary pass targets...

RE: Stanford vs ASU Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-08-2021

My god is our tackling dreadful.

BC

We could have easily gotten called for throwing a punch there.

BC

That might be the first penalty against ASU.  Ironically, on the former STanford guy.

BC

Wow, a stop on fourth down.  That was h*ge.

TREEfense!!!!

RE: Stanford vs ASU Game Thread - chrisk - 10-08-2021

Not giving up

ASU win probability drops to 91.3%

RE: Stanford vs ASU Game Thread - martyup - 10-08-2021

We're only down by 11.  This reminds me a last week when we had no hope and then somehow came back and pulled it out.  Let's hope history repeats.

Also whoever grabbed RBs leg... well played...

We score and it becomes a game again. They are still moving the ball, but we've been able to stop them on some key downs.

We are 89 yards from there.  Seems unlikely.

ESPN only has them at 91% right now.  We need to get that a little higher before we storm back.

RE: Stanford vs ASU Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-08-2021

Well, they should be close to 99% now.

RE: Stanford vs ASU Game Thread - winflop - 10-08-2021

Game over

That one was McKees fault. DB jumped the route before he threw it. Never should have let it go

RE: Stanford vs ASU Game Thread - PVTree - 10-08-2021

Deflating play. The cb knew what was coming and beat the receiver to the spot.

RE: Stanford vs ASU Game Thread - LDN/SG Card - 10-08-2021

DB all over that...

RE: Stanford vs ASU Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-08-2021

ASU is up to 98% for anyone keeping track.

BC

Well, we finally went for it on fourth down from the ASU side of the field and wind up short.

That was some true vintage ShawVita right there

WHEN THEIR DEFENSE IS FASTER THAN YOUR OFFENSE, DELAYED HANDOFFS ARE A STUPID AF IDEA. DOUBLY SO ON 3RD & 10

RE: Stanford vs ASU Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-08-2021

Ok, now they are at 99%.

As was observed in the broadcast, you are trying to get it to a manageable fourth down distance since you are planning to go for it from the get go.  We did get it to 4th and six.  The goal was never to get all 10 yards on the draw.

Just started looking after the Dodgers went down. Was the play calling this bad in the first half?
