Xu (4 holes remaining), Ganne (4 holes), and Heck (5 Holes) just need to tie on 2 of their remaining holes each for Stanford to raise another championship trophy.

Xu has a 4&3 win after Royal stunningly finds the water behind the green at 15 (Xu had unfortunately found the water despite the large lead).

Ganne has played so well. The 3 putt on 15 was her first bogey of the day. She still has a 2 hole lead with 3 to play.

They both landed their approach shots a bit past the hole. Both shots ran away to the back of the green and then over and down a steep slope to the hazard. The players may have expected the shots to check up a bit. The announcers said that the grounds crew rolled the greens last night. They seem to be putting faster and playing firmer than the players had experienced the rest of the week.

Make room for another trophy!!! Ganne, Xu and Heck were fantastic today. They never gave their opponent much room at all.

Thrilled for the entire team but especially for the seniors Heck and Englemann. What an incredible legacy they leave over their 4 years! 2 national championships, a semifinal appearance, a quarterfinal appearance. And they leave the team in great shape, handing off to Xu and Ganne, neither of whom lost in match play. The future is bright, but the present is even brighter.

The 3-2 final score belies the dominant performance by Stanford. Heck, Xu and Ganne never trailed, as Rachel effectively put away her match at the turn. Xu had her lead cut to 2 for a short time, but after some mistakes from Royal, put the match away. Ganne was very solid, and Vo's collapse on 16 sealed the point for Stanford.

"2 Championships is good, but 3 is better" -Anne Walker. That's a funny quote that speaks to Coach Walker's success in transforming this program during her tenure.

All right now! Especially happy for Heck, who can't possibly have had a more memorable and important final round of competitive golf. Truly a storybook final season. That we beat fUCLA and U$C to win it is icing on the cake. Really impressed by Walker and this team.
