However, there already have been two occasions on which a team won three straight NFL championships. Which teams were they, which years did they three-peat, who were their coaches, and what were their home stadiums?
Green Bay Packers is one for sure - 1966, 1967 (first Super Bowl, although not certain it was known as "Super Bowl" at the time - maybe just NFL-AFL championship game), & 1967. Vince Lombardi was the coach, Lambeau Field the home stadium (and I think they had occasional home games at County Stadium in Milwaukee in those days).

Correct! The Packers three-peated as NFL champions in the 1965, 1966, and 1967 seasons. The Packers also won the first two Super Bowls after the 1966 and 1967 seasons. Lombardi was their coach and Lambeau Field was their home stadium. And yes, the Packers did play a few home games in each of those years at County Stadium in Milwaukee. Well done, skip75.
That leaves one other NFL championship three-peat.
Mick came close with several of his guesses:
- The Bears won two consecutive championships in both 1932-33 and 1940-41, but did not three-peat, losing in the championship game in both of their three-peat attempts.
- The Browns reached six consecutive championship games in 1950-55 and won the championship in 1950, 1954, and 1955, but did not three-peat in 1956.
- The Eagles won two consecutive championships in 1948-49, but did not three-peat.

Green Bay Packers - They took the first two Super Bowls and prior to that won the last NFL, non-Superbowl, championship.

The Browns won the only four AAFC titles from 1946-1949, then won the NFL title in 1950. The bottom of the AAFC probably wasn't as strong as the average NFL team, but the 49ers and Yankees could play with the best NFL teams. Impressive, I think, and worth a mention.

The Packers won three in a row in 1929, 1930, 1931.
The catch is the champion was determined by best record in the league. There were no playoffs. The league implemented a playoff game for the title in 1933 when the NFL split into two divisions.
Next question….
Following BC’s query re: the number of players who would have won three consecutive rings had KC won this year’s Super Bowl, I looked to see how many Packers were on all three title teams in 1965, 66, and 67?
Any guesses?

Correct! Those Packers teams were coached by Curly Lambeau. Their home field was City Stadium.
So, the Packers are the only team to three-peat as NFL champions, and they did it twice -- 1929-30-31 and 1965-66-67.

the NFL active roster size back then was 40 players so I'm going to guess 15-20 players were on all three championship teams.

28
I found it interesting that KC would have been 29 and GB was 28. I expected to see the Packers number in the low 20’s.

the Browns won the AAFC titles in 1946-49 and the NFL title in 1950 and then lost in the NFL title games in 1951, 1952, and 1953 before winning the NFL title in 1954 so nine consecutive appearances in a title game....

Cleveland Rams - Correct. They moved to LA in 1946 knowing that competing against the newly formed Cleveland Browns was going to be a lost cause.
Raiders - nope.

Next week's NFL combine will bring something somewhat rare, a lefty kicker (Pitt's Ben Sauls).
Since 2000, how many lefty NFL kickers have made at least one field goal?
Of the top 20 kickers in the NFL (in all-time FG made), how many are lefties?
