I liked the call. It was a nice change-of-pace call that clearly caught the Beavs off guard and Ty was pretty open. The end result was lacking, though.

That was a nice playcall, F93. When you have an open receiver 15 yards down the field, you got what you wanted; Hogan just misfired pretty badly.

Hogan struggles with touch occasionally. His bullets are better.

This reffing is weird. PAC-12 refs almost never take the "let them play" attitude. Where did this crew come from?

GAH FLY SWEEP

Rector got tackled on that play before the ball reached him. Our D has been on the field for a long time! And it looks like Gardner is done! :(

This is going to be a close game esp. with the D-line decimated.

Re: Stanford vs. Oregon St. Game Thread - dabigv13 - 10-26-2013

Damnit they are using that fake to opposite side screen very effectively. A nice call against us.

Re: Stanford vs. Oregon St. Game Thread - dabigv13 - 10-26-2013

Don't think this gets reversed. No angle where his knee is down with a view across the line.

Re: Stanford vs. Oregon St. Game Thread - stupac2 - 10-26-2013

Okay, we need to answer now.

Re: Stanford vs. Oregon St. Game Thread - dabigv13 - 10-26-2013

You could answer this by looking at one angle to determine other landmarks when his knee is down, then go to the view across the goalline.

This of course is beyond what the review booth would ever do, but I'm sure some enterprising Stanford undergraduate could figure it out.

Re: Stanford vs. Oregon St. Game Thread - Farm93 - 10-26-2013

See, not every team has a kicker as fine as Stanford's #1 and #2.

Still want to see Power, but the OSU D has had a lot of time to rest now.

Re: Stanford vs. Oregon St. Game Thread - Kathy - 10-26-2013

The angles I saw had Cooks' knee down while he still had the ball tucked. He didn't extend his arm with the ball until his knee hit.

That whole drive was made possible by a bad spot.
