I dont know why we keep blaming chryst and burns when they have been sacked more than the previous 3 years combined. This line sucks and our oline recruiting has stalled since the 5 stars we signed 4 years ago

Keller still looks nervous. Maybe he will start relaxing. I have no problem if the coaches think he just needs to work out the jitters.

Stanford with the 17-7 halftime lead.
I have a lot of respect for Zona's QB, Dawkins. The defense overall continues to play well. I'm pretty excited for how the second half of the season might turn out, but Arizona is scrappy and I'd be happy with a Stanford victory of any margin tonight.

Is the OL responsible for the accuracy of the QB's throws when they aren't pressured?

The line hasn't been great, but even when they've given the QBs time they've been making pretty basic errors like staring down receivers and they've both been horribly inaccurate. Sure, hearing footsteps can do that, but you'd expect to see the excellent decisions/throws at least sometimes and we're just not seeing it at all.

You try to throw accurately when you are consistently worried that your next second may be your last.

Sure. We've had 7 games to see that Burns isn't the answer. Chryst has had a half.

Let's give Chryst a full game before we write him off completely, OK?

True, but Chryst has not thrown the ball well in the first half even when he has had time. Hopefully he will pick things up in the second.

True on the sacks. However, even when not hurried they are not throwing good passes consistently enough. I will say that Chryst should have had a long TD pass to Rector. That ball should have been caught. However, he threw some bad balls and that pick was inexcusable. Burns seems to have more mobility than Chryst, but he is no Hogan on his feet.

Yup. Try getting hit multiple times as well before completing a pass.

I'm thinking "small sample size". Burns didn't miss his first 9 throws. How predictive was that for the next 7 games?
Having made the switch, we owe Chryst a chance to play a couple games. At this point, it is unclear whether his inaccuracies are systemic and unfixeable or nervousness and/or because he is hearing footsteps.

I think we can block AZ's punter. He punts low line drives and they don't block very well. I hope our coaches see the opportunity.

I thought so as well, but he does get it off quickly.

I'm waiting patiently for Bailey to get an opportunity to fake a punt. I believe I read he was a receiver in high school with a 40 time in the 4.5 range.

I'm biased (I'm a Chryst fan) but he seems to be getting better as the game progresses. That INT... He was hit while throwing, right?
