Nice series. A terrific set of play calls that entire series. Mixed it up with screens threw the ball down the middle use the whole field that was a very very nice drive

It's been up and down for Shavita this game, but WSU is just bad enough to do this against.  I'll take it.

Go for two just don’t run. We can’t run oh we did it

RE: Washington State Football Game Thread - fullmetal - 11-16-2019

Clearly a case of throwing all game to set up this short yardage run :)

All in all it’s been a good offense of game plan and I think the playcalling is been pretty good. Twice they should’ve gone for it on fourth down which is my biggest criticism that and the lack of a time out at the end of the first half. But all in all I think this is been a good offensive showing. We’re getting a chance to see how good Davis Mills is if he can just stay healthy.Real deal.

ST screwed up there.  Returned to the Stanford 5.

Is this a good game plan or is Mills just p-h-e-n-o-m-e-n-a-l? Stay tuned..

Uggh.  Two steps forward, one step back.

Who forgot to cover Arconado??  Ugh.

Coverage mixup.

RE: Washington State Football Game Thread - fullmetal - 11-16-2019

10pt game now.  At least the defense gets to sit down again?

lex24 - lex24 - 11-16-2019

At least it was quick. Respond.  Bottom line is they’re going to  have to score every time they have the ball and hope the defense can hold once.

RE: Washington State Football Game Thread - French Rage - 11-16-2019

We did gain a point on them with the 2PTC at least.

MILLS might have to win this -- the Defense cannot.   Mills has >400 yards passing in just 3 Qs.
Too much speed by WAST.   When Cougs have the ball, we hope for a mistake like on the INT.
Unleash:  Fehoko, Wedington, Wilson & Parkinson.  Throw to the RB out of the back; that play works well.

RE: Washington State Football Game Thread - martyup - 11-16-2019

Did Mills just play his way to the starting QB?  I say yes.

RE: Washington State Football Game Thread - fullmetal - 11-16-2019

Threw to Jones and Symonds out of the backfield with avg negative yardage, so no let's stop that.

lex24 - lex24 - 11-16-2019

Iowa beats Minnesota.  Party time in Iowa City. I don’t think there is a school in the country that has beaten more top 10 teams at home in the past few years has Iowa has. Tough place to play

RE: Washington State Football Game Thread - fullmetal - 11-16-2019

I feel like undisciplined downfield DB play on deep throws is the only aspect of the WSU defense we can exploit right now.  And that requires good OL play and Mills on his game.  Better roll with it because we're in a shootout.

RE: Washington State Football Game Thread - needle - 11-16-2019

Probably too many mistakes for Stanford to pull this out: losing out on a scoring opportunity before the half; missed FG inside 40 yds; giving up the looong KO return.

I feel frustrated as a fan but also sad. Hopefully not, but it does kind of feel like an era is ending.

RE: Washington State Football Game Thread - fullmetal - 11-16-2019

We need an INT, score, INT, and score again.  Sigh.
