I think most of LSJUMB's problems could be solved if - jacketree - 01-06-2012

Cowboy Indian took over.

I'd watch those shows.

P.S.  Most of the anti-band outrage as I understand it was directed at their post game hijinks. They played during the awards ceremonies, and played, and played. Someone official told them to can it, but they kept playing.  Way beyond bush league.  Allegedly. But the allegations are consistent with past behavior.  You really can't take them anywhere.

Yeah .... They should have toned it down during the awards.

But, we know these guys well enough to guess what was happening.  The band has a long standing practice of playing a post game concert after important games win, lose or draw.  If they felt they were being asked to stop 'cuz some of the music might bleed over onto someone's post-game wrap then I can see the request being ignored.

But then I've NEEDED that post game concert after more than a couple of big losses (BG 2009 for one) so I'm cutting 'em some slack. Since when did an OSU celebration a field away become untouchably sacred (and also so very fragile that the distant chorus of "Yellow River" would tarnish it?). I'm thinking some of this outrage sounds a little puffed up.

An offensive lineman had his arm around Thomas's chest and shoulders and spun him around. (Check the tape if you've still got the game on your DVR.) If that call is made, Oklahoma State faces 2nd and about 23 from the thirty-eight. That would've made things interesting.

I haven't seen the replay, but at the game it looked that way to me as well.
