I watched the punt again, we did block the guy (in the back) into McCaffrey. We were lucky it wasn't called against us.

Don't worry. At the end of the game, Shaw will say: Well, we'll get better. We just have to go back and work on some things. But we are going to get better...yada yada yada. And not accept that until they change offensive brain trusts, they aren't making the changes necessary.

Well, putting aside the offensive ineptitude on steroids...
It looks plainly obvious to me that the undersized DL is a real issue and is going to haunt this team all year as feared. When you combine a weak defensive front with an awful offense, it portends an awful season in the making that nobody saw coming. Ohio State lost at home to VT last year an won the whole thing, so one game does not a season make, but Shaw is no Meyer either.

I see Watkins on the field with Shittu down. Will this be Watkins' first snap?
Phillips never came back. No depth, no margin to allow for these kinds of injuries on the D-Line.

Whatever seemed to have been learned in the last three games of last season seems to have been forgotten over the offseason..right now this offense has gotten to a point that is worse than last year (pre-end of the season aberration).Â
Have we converted even a single third down since the opening drive? Maybe we have, but I don't recall it if we did.

Well, hogan has been off target, he was much better at the end of the last season. Our offensive line has had trouble getting a push, last year towards the end they had gelled.Â

Fourth dropped interception on the game. Two score game now, looking tough unless we get a kickoff return for a touchdown.
On the plus side, the "out of control beard Andrew Luck" is hilarious.

The offensive line has been ok I've thought. We have been able to run the ball decently well. But then we have a penalty that pushes us back and Hogan can't get something done.
