I think this is just our strategy. Shaw even said as much. We're playing to not give up big plays over the top. And it has worked so far...

We're one play from 21-16. We need turnovers, or stops on 3rd and long....

Blegh. Big drive coming up.
Hopefully our defensive staff rethinks their gameplan. Less cushion. Less traditional blitzes, more zone blitzes. Drop some of the LBs off the line into the short zones.

Well, we need to get them to third and long. Sadly, most of their first down plays are going for 8 or 9 yards. But I agree we need stops, preferrably before they reach field goal range. Agree with jacketree that we cannot have another empty possession.

The safety position is a bigger problem in this game. Whitfield was beaten for the TD.

We're talking about different formations. I'm thinking of the Wright formation not the offset I with an OL in the backfield.
