Danielson knocks it on the par 5 17th in 2 shots and barely missed an eagle. Her tap in birdie wins the hole. She goes to 18 1 up.
Kersten is dormie 3 - 3 up with 3 to play.

Darned.... Aubert gave it back, she's now down 1.
Kersten is 3up with three to play, so she should be in a good position to clinch.
Danielson and Kim are both all square.
We should be in a decent position, but I'd prefer to be leading in at least one more.

Kersten clinches wins. I guess clinches would have worked, since she won before the 18th hole.
Just need Danielson to halve the 18th and we will be on to the finals.

Danielson nailed her drive in the middle of the fairway on 18 and her approach in the middle of the green. Two putts later she wrapped up her match. Stanford beats Duke and advances to the final! Stanford will play for the national championship!

Pretty darned good day in Stanford sports; Women's tennis wins the championship (in incredibly gutty fashion) and women's golf wins its quarterfinal and semifinal matches to make it to the finals against the UCLA/UW winner, meaning we have an all-Pac-12 final.
By the way, the Bruins and Huskies are tied 2-2 through holes 11-14.

I was boarding a plane as the Women's Tennis team was dramatically battling for the National Championship. I kept refreshing the Cardboard to follow along and had to keep hiding my phone from the roving flight attendents. Then as we're taxing out and getting ready to take off... whew! I was praying I wouldn't have wait until after my flight to hear if we won.

Wow, a long day for the players. Hope they sleep well. The experience they gained in winning the title last year undoubtedly is helping them.

Washington has won two of the matches.
Two of the remaining three are all squared, and UCLA is 1Up in the last one.
All in all, things are looking pretty good for the Huskies.
By the way, Rhee (from UW) came back from 3 down with 3 holes to play. On to the 19th...

Looks like Washington has won. Rhee came back from 3 holes down with three to play, and won 4 consecutive holes to win it in the 19th. UW wins 3-1, and will face Stanford tomorrow for the national championship!

I don't know whether Stanford would have matched up better against UCLA or Washington. I just wanted to see UCLA lose because I don't want them to extend their lead in total championships. So I'm glad to see the Huskies in the finals.
Let's hope Stanford can keep rolling and bring home another title!

Maybe the home Oregon fans will be cheering for Stanford tomorrow. Oregon and Washington football fans certainly don't get along very well. It would be nice for the home crowd to be pulling for the Stanford players.
