Maybe this offense becomes the Burns to Irwin show with CMAC making frequent appearances. Play action to CMAC is going to certainly freeze some linebackers and corners.

Hmmmm.
At least three good candidates to be our leading receiver this year.
Anyone want to make predictions?

Definitely CMac. He was last year, he will be this year.

If the metric is receiving yardage, I'm going with #5 as well (given his potential for phenomenal YACs). 8)

Has there ever been a school ranked in the Top Ten of both lists other than Stanford? Maybe Northwestern - did they ever get that highly ranked in football? Not Duke or any Ivy school after about 1940, right? It seems to me that this is a truly unique (or at least VERY rare) achievement. Further, it is a large element of what Harbaugh/Shaw captured in their successful adjustments of our recruiting efforts.

Has Stanford ever been ranked higher in football than academics!?!?! If this isn't the Golden Era of Stanford football, I don't know what is...

The US News ranking only goes back to 1983, so no school could have been in the top 10 in the AP poll and US News ranking before that.
Michigan was top-10 in both a couple times during the 80s, most recently in 1988 (#8 in US News, #4 AP). But I think they're the only school other than Stanford to have done it. A few of the other top public universities made the US News top-10 during the 80s, but weren't top-10 in the AP in the same year. And from the 90s on, the US News top 10 has been all private (counting Cornell as a private school).Â

Stoked. Trying not to project my emotional rollercoaster over the whole season. We had a department meeting today where the dept head listed the AP/Coaches top 10 rankings and noted that I was the only alum from a school in those lists.
