Amos Alonzo Stagg would be thrilled with how Stanford has opened this drive.

Haha that's B-e-a-r Down.

Bailey absolutely crushed that.  57 yards, no return.

Did he just lose his job to Dawkins or what?

Re: Stanford - Arizona game thread - BostonCard - 10-29-2016

Another nice job on defense.

BTW, Solomon rolled out twice, and twice had to throw it away because we had it covered.

Dawkins hurt his leg somehow, one of our guys (Alfieri maybe) just sorta touched him and then he was gimpy. Not clear what happened.

Re: Stanford - Arizona game thread - amartinsu13 - 10-29-2016

Is that really not counted as a sack for Alfieri just because the QB started running forward?? He tackled him 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage..

Re: Stanford - Arizona game thread - HisKneeWasDown - 10-29-2016

Our defense is definitely the better unit.

Re: Stanford - Arizona game thread - ThePassionOfTheChryst - 10-29-2016

Chryst needed to take off a half second sooner.

No, that's just poor announcing.

Welcome back, Christian.

Re: Stanford - Arizona game thread - BostonCard - 10-29-2016

I think Solomon had been injured, and wasn't at 100%.  But when Dawkins got hurt (it looked like Alfieri sort of bumped his knee at the end of a play), I guess the feeling was that Solomon would be better.

Re: Stanford - Arizona game thread - stupac2 - 10-29-2016

Was anyone else screaming (metaphorically, anyway, both wife and baby are asleep) at Chryst to get further back off the LOS on that wildcat play? I'm actually surprised he wasn't called for being offside.

Re: Stanford - Arizona game thread - BostonCard - 10-29-2016

Ugh.  Delay of game on second and goal from the 6.
