Surprised Leach isn’t going for it. Keeps it two scores.

Shut up about Tua unless he is playing in this game.

Time to pick up the tempo. Wedington has had a nice game
Come back for the football Parkinson. That’s as much on him as it is Mills.

LOL shoulda taken the FG.

Middle of the field. Stanford hasn’t been able to defend it all year.
Oh well. At least it was fun to watch Mills.

That pretty much does it. Mills played well, but 22 points just wasn't going to get the job done. As predicted, Wazzu had a field day against our depleted defense.

I feel frustrated as a fan but also sad. Hopefully not, but it does kind of feel like an era is ending.
Sadly, I think the era of Stanford football greatness ended with the last Rose Bowl victory following the 2015 season. This year, the team simply dropped from being "pretty good" the last three seasons to "not very good." Yes, injuries had a lot to do with the fall, but as others have pointed out, that's not the only reason. Plus, I'm not confident at this point that the injury issues we've had the past two years won't continue.

Well, at least now I can plan our holiday open house without worrying about a conflict with a bowl game...
If we can just beat Kal next week the season won't be a total loss.

Mills just set the Stanford record for most passing yards in a game. And, he's going to get some more before this game is over. Can we please call him the starter?
Wow, on cue Mills throws a pick. I'll just shut up.

Mea Culpa. Started streaming the game (thanks Larry), and the first play I see is Mills' first pick. Got to see the second one too. My fault, should never have turned the game on.

This is the most consistently inept defensive performance i can recall from Stanford. The Cougars were stopped ONE time, and even that happened in basically the worst possible way, giving us the ball inside the 1 yard line. Eww.

What a disaster. I just want it to be over before Wazzu gets more than 50.

All you need to know:
WSU never punted.

Pretty much as expected. The only chance Stanford had in this football game was to be able to control it and keep the ball away from Washington state. And Stanford can’t do that anymore. They are simply not built or equipped to beat a team like this in a shoot out. And I think you got a good idea of how far the talent level has dropped defensively today. That looked like some of the bad old days with defenses that you simply new were in capable of stopping a good offense.
They also left about 14 points on the field. Not going for it on fourth down the interception in the end zone etc.

Beautiful. We were outscored 27-8 in the second half. Eight points in 30 minutes against a weak defense. 22 points total. And Mills sets a single game passing record. We are now, officially, the Stanford of old.

Stanford’s PAT defense was excellent........

Correct. Your offensive strategy doesn't much matter if you can't ever stop the opponent. You can postpone the inevitable perhaps, but the result will be the same.
