He looked to be calling a double-dribble on OSU, but no whistle and play continued.

When OSU tips the ball out of Hannah's hands into the backcourt and Hannah runs after to grab it, it looks like he called a touch, but then whistles her for over-n-back.

Or is my family all having the same hallucination?

Yes, that was bizarre.  I saw the other girl tip the pass.  It might have touched Hannah after it was tipped and before it passed over the center court line.  Does that make it a back court violation?

Congratulations to the Cardinal on an excellent comeback.

The bench finally stepped up with 12 points in H2 and Jum certainly
played brilliantly in H2, ofsetting subpar nights for both Iriakin and
Brink. Now we face either UCLA or USC for the chip. We can do this
if we play at our best.

Re Tony's comment, what adjustments do you think Tara made in H2
that made such a difference?

When a team consistently overperforms in the second half, I got to give the coach some credit

We didn’t over perform in the second half. We grossly underperformed in the first half… for the second time in two nights.

As for what changed in the second half, I think we owe at least a little hat tip to Colorado.

I was watching too far behind real time to come to the Cardboard during the game.

Quite the roller coaster ride, down and then way up.

Besides fatigue from the Colorado game, I think being so physical in this game backfired on Beers somewhat. She took some hard falls during the game that left her banged up. She was really laboring to run the court late in the game.

Anyone watching UCLA/USC? I paused the video and wandered off when it was 24-8 USC at the end of the first quarter. Now I see it's 28-28!

Looked to me like Watkins tweaked an ankle early in the game, was limping a bit. Went out briefly, then came back in. She's missing shots she typically makes. Ankle affecting her shot?

I'm rooting for USC and a chance to redeem our loss to them at Maples.

Game is a lot like our game, with U$C getting a big lead in Q1 and UCLA closing the gap in Q2,
Juju has 15 at half, so she is still on track to score in the 30's.

I agree.  Let our team prove that Juju's 53 points was a fluke.

USC vs UCLA, neither team shooting very well at the end of the 3rd Q.  They are beating each other up trying to force too much on offense.  Not passing the ball around and waiting for a good shot.

RE: WBB: Pac 12 Tournament - Griffins78 - 03-08-2024

Can bands drum during the game? USC keeps drumming during play

RE: WBB: Pac 12 Tournament - CompSci87 - 03-08-2024

OT!

RE: WBB: Pac 12 Tournament - here4WBB - 03-08-2024

USC / UCLA tied and headed into overtime

RE: WBB: Pac 12 Tournament - TheWildJacko - 03-08-2024

Well, drummers are notoriously fidgety, they could just be going rogue.

RE: WBB: Pac 12 Tournament - martyup - 03-08-2024

Looks like Juju got seriously injured tonight.

RE: WBB: Pac 12 Tournament - here4WBB - 03-08-2024

DOUBLE overtime. Juju back and playing through injury, four fouls. UCLA Betts, Osborne, Rice and Londynn Jones with four fouls each.

USC 80-70.

Hey U$C . . .

[Image: ?u=https%3A%2F%2Fmedia.tenor.com%2F3bbhD...ipo=images]

In their semi-final win over UCLA, the Trojans shot 31.5% overall and 21.5% from beyond the arc.

I will not be surprised if Juju doesn't play on Sunday.  When she cools down, her ankle is going to swell up and be painful.  With the NCAA tourney just around the corner, she might decide to let it heal and sit out the Pac-12 CCG.

RE: WBB: Pac 12 Tournament - petersalas - 03-08-2024

I’m kinda glad for the rematch and I want Stanford to kick their behind. Their fans are terrible.. they literally trash talked me toward the end of their game vs UCLA because I was wearing a Stanford Women’s Basketball t-shirt.. they pretty much feel that they have the game in the bag because JuJu scored 51 on Stanford. Their fans are just bad! Stanford come out strong and show who is the best team from the conference. Stanford lost the first ever tournament title, but they won’t lose the last one!

Crackpot, thank you so much for posting! I really enjoyed hearing from Cam's mom.

Thanks so much for posting this. It's a terrific interview, really gave me insight into both Cam and where she comes from. And at the end, the bit about how she's somewhat banged up from the Cal game, having to ice her back and elbow, not info that Tara would share.

I'd suggest, if you have the time, give this a listen. Really worthwhile. Again, thanks
Crackpot.
