Nice return, but who's Barry Sanders Jr.?

Re: Stanford vs. Oregon St. Game Thread - washingtonismoney - 10-26-2013

For the love of everything beautiful, if they can't figure out how to get more touches to Sanders I give up on football.

Didn't he help the Germans bomb Pearl Harbor?  ;D :D

The running back for Stanford. Isn't the wrong one "Barry Sanders Jr."? (Note that may have been what the announcer said, I wasn't paying attention.)

? That's his name? Glad they didn't call him Barry Sanders Jr. again.

Mrs. GoodGrief: "RUN BARRY RUN!!!"

I know it's wrong that I want to see Barry J out there so badly when Gaffney's been carrying this game on his back for us. But hey, I'm a sucker for that flashy stuff I guess.

Heh, the board software corrected the error you were trying to complain about.

Re: Stanford vs. Oregon St. Game Thread - Farm93 - 10-26-2013

GREAT - Just like classic Big Ten teams, penalties can't happen.

Re: Stanford vs. Oregon St. Game Thread - dabigv13 - 10-26-2013

Another duck from Hogan...pretty clear he is not a pocket passer.

Also pretty clear that this sort of performance from him won't get it done versus Oregon.

Re: Stanford vs. Oregon St. Game Thread - pincemob - 10-26-2013

How do you take a delay call there.

Hogan looks like his arm is about to fall off.  [he is obviously hurt]  Win or lose, we are going into Oregon on fumes.

Re: Stanford vs. Oregon St. Game Thread - shinsengumi - 10-26-2013

So, I was watching the game clock after the delay of game penalty. Looks like we burned about 80 seconds off the clock (40 seconds before the delay of game, another 40 seconds after the 5 yard penalty). Is this how it's supposed to be? Seems like a loophole in the rules, no?

Re: Stanford vs. Oregon St. Game Thread - washingtonismoney - 10-26-2013

I don't know if the problem is some sort of irreducible essence of Hogan -- I think he's hurt. Something's wrong. Even when he was terrible against UW he had more zip than this.

I definitely thought something was weird when I saw the clock running after the penalty.

Well..... Hogan DID beat them last year.  Don't put up the white flag just yet.

Re: Stanford vs. Oregon St. Game Thread - shinsengumi - 10-26-2013

No urgency by Oregon St. at all?

I wonder how this board would've reacted if Shaw was conducting such playcalling while trailing.

We're up 11 and a first down probably wins the game, I don't think anyone's throwing up the white flag.

It's really baffling. Punting there is giving up. If I were in the stands I'd leave too, no point sticking around if your coach is done.
