Line is now up to -7 - OutsiderFan - 10-15-2015

After opening -4.5, Stanford looks to go into the game -7 against UCLA.  I don't reckon the population of Stanford fans who bet on games is that large, so this line movement isn't Stanford fan boy-driven.  It suggests a lot of serious gamblers think a lot of Stanford.  Maybe they've been looking at the same stats people have been sharing on this board recently?

It's a brobdingnagian shift from recent behavior -- both Oregon State and Arizona featured big moves against Stanford.

OSU made some sense given Hogan was questionable and during the week it emerged that Anderson would be out.

Arizona made no sense because the uncertainty around our injury situation improved with good news about Hogan, Shittu, and Scarlett, while the news for Arizona was bad (Solomon).  Unless people believed that Solomon was going to play, I thought the line should have turned further in our favor.

I didn't believe for one second that Solomon was going to play.  In this day of concussion protocols, to my knowledge not a single college football player who is taken out of game with a concussion has been back on the field the following weekend.

Jordan Williamson and his father watched the game with us last night.  I said we'd beat UCLA by at least three touchdowns.  The defensive subs made me a little nervous, but for most of the game, I was sitting pretty.  Everyone else in the room was talking about three points, seven points...this OL rewarded my faith.
