Agreed. The Cougs should receive Gameday and will provide a great atmosphere even at 5-6 AM in the morning. It is the least ESPN can do for WSU given they manage to find a flag bearer for their school at every Gameday location since 2003.

The biggest competition for the event is rumored to be The "Figthing" Irish at Temple. N.D. already had a Gameday for their loss at Clemson, so I doubt they would do another one with N.D. so soon.

There's not a good chance of Pullman. If they wanted to do Pullman, they would have announced it yesterday. They want to go to Independence Hall, but the service that issues permits for it was closed yesterday. Hence waiting until today.

So in order for it to be Pullman, you have to have something like this happen:

1) They get rejected for Independence Hall and/or whatever locations in Philly (off-campus) that they want to do.
2) They decide that on Temple's campus is unfeasible.
3) They figure out how to get Herbie from Pullman to Philly in 8 hours.

Possible? Sure. But I wouldn't say there's a good chance, and honestly, that's probably better for us. If WSU finally, after all these years, gets a gameday they're going to be hyped out of their goddamn minds. Playing in Pullman on Halloween is already enough juju for a matchup we should easily win, I don't want any more.

Would there be much of a chance for them coming here for any of our remaining home games?  ND would seem the best matchup, unless they want to avoid another ND game (especially if they choose them for this week).  The Big Game could be a good matchup this year, and the last time they were here was for Oregon, so an Oregon matchup could have nice history.  I suppose it depends more on the other games those weeks, though.

I doubt we get it for Oregon or Cal unless those teams get ranked again (which is conceivable in both cases, though I'd be surprised). ND is our best bet, and if we both win out it would like to be something like #5 vs #6, so it'd be hard to avoid. I'd say that we have no real shot, but they already went to Ann Arbor once so The Game is likely out. Otherwise OU vs OKST is the only other ranked-ranked matchup, at least currently. Could happen.

[Though I have watched a bit of Temple and I don't think they can stand up physically to und. And I doubt many really think they are the 21st best team in the country.]
