WSU Prediction Thread - pcgoode - 10-27-2015
WSU seems to have improved, but I don't think they have the talent or coaching to keep up with us. Throw in a forecast of rain and 50F for Saturday, and a defense that isn't very good at stopping the run, and I see us winning this one quite handily.Â

I think they'll be a handful for the secondary to start, but our D will clamp down in the 2nd half and the Cougars will not be able to score with....umm...on... our young guys in the 4th qtr. We WILL run over/around/through them - game time weather conditions more than anything else will limit our scoring

Don't buy "Raid" teams against us. If Stanford does what they have been doing, they should be able to control the clock completely, and the D will start getting to Falk in the second half. Plus, fat guys love the rain, and we love fat guys. Stanford 45-WSU 21.

Don't confuse air raid with quick strike. The Cougs time of possession is about 30 minutes a game. They use short passes like running the ball. That said, I'm hoping we can keep the ball out of their hands by ground and pound. We'll need to score touchdowns, though, as the Cougs will put up points (30+?) on us. Our pass rush is limited (as is our DL depth), and our secondary, albeit talented, has left a bunch of guys very open this year.Â
