They seem to have confused Danica McKellar for Fred Savage.

One interesting thing in there is that we're intercepting 8% of our passes defended, compared to ~23% nationally (that about 2/9 passes defended are intercepted is apparently a consistent result). That is an absurd difference, given that we have 35 passes defended it's 4-5 more interceptions. How much better would we think this defense is if we were getting those interceptions?

Really!?! Two out of every 9 passes thrown are intercepted? That seems ridiculously large....and dangerous.

No, a "pass defended" (also sometimes "pass defensed" which I hate) is when a defender breaks up the pass. It's a subset of incompletions.

Thank you. I never understood why defense was made into a verb, when the word defend already exists. I put that one up there with "verticality" in my list of sports words that I can't stand.

"jelled"
"score the ball"
..."phenomenal" ok just kidding, David Shaw is awesome. I mean, phenomenal.

WIM, thanks for posting the link. That's a hoot.

I've been spending every weekend this fall going to see the little one finish her college soccer career. In exchange for letting my wife always drive, I get to play my music. (This is not quite true. She refuses to let me drive, and is too lazy to pick out tunes and put them on her phone.)
I asked her yesterday how my mix was, and her response was:Â "Needs more Taylor Swift."
I love my wife, but if I am going to be road tripping, with TS, I'd rather hang with Michael Rector's Crew.

Agreed, between that and popcorn guy from two years ago, I like the attitude of Wazzou fans. And the Michael Rector stuff was awesome.

And to think I scored well on Reading Comprehension. Of course, that was Middle English back then.

How long is the drive? I'm guessing the mix is not comprised of entire albums...I don't think I could take a whole album of Taylor. Rector could, I think.
Interesting, those WSU fan wagers. Eight picked WSU to win outright, three picked Stanford to win by 11 or fewer points...and two picked Stanford to beat the spread.

10 hours round trip. Just added "Taylor Swift", "Speak Now" and a couple from "Fearless". Yes, whole albums, but on shuffle. Currently heavily bossa nova, good bit of Sinatra, bunch of rock, Courtney Barnett the only new stuff.

If you've got Sinatra you have to have some Elvis, don't you?

Wife won't tolerate Elvis. Closest I have is Steve Earle's mystery train, pt. 2.
I've got a lot to learn about Elvis.

Very different but each stellar. Play this song, Sinatra then Elvis. Everyone will prefer one over the other, but no one can deny what they hear, especially if you know anything about the background of each man. Ignore Elvis's "I don't know the words" bullshit. Although, if he really didn't know the words the performance is that much more brilliant. The two of them, to me, are among the top five song stylists of my life, so far. Enjoy.
