McCaffrey is moving up in a couple categories in the Stanford record book --

Rushing yards, season

1,871Â Toby Gerhart, 2009
1,709Â Tyler Gaffney, 2013
1,530Â Stepfan Taylor, 2012
1,330Â Stepfan Taylor, 2011
1,207Â Christian McCaffrey, 2015 (to date)

All purpose yards, season

2,234Â Glyn Milburn, 1992
2,222Â Glyn Milburn, 1990
2,208Â Ty Montgomery, 2013
2,174Â Christian McCaffrey, 2015 (to date)
McCaffrey should break Milburn's all purpose record next week. McCaffrey could break Gerhart's rushing yardage record by the end of the year. At his current rate, McCaffrey will need to get an extra game in the conference championship game to catch Gerhart.

I dunno. Even if he does have eligibility left, I suspect his age would impact his performance. :P

Gerhart is my favorite runner of Post-resurrection football. The 2009 USC game in my Top 3 favorite games. If McCaffrey gets close, maybe when he gets close, my head might explode.

Wouldn't those both be pre-resurrection?

Yes! :) I guess I was making a playful remark about how we compare players from different eras.

McCaffrey to crack, "I wish the field was 99 yards. I think I would have a lot more touchdowns."
Nice quip.

John the Baptist came back to finish his degree post-resurrection after going pro early
