Also, why on god's green earth would Chip go to USC? Maybe fistfuls of cash at him, but LSU can do that too. And the thing he hated most about coaching college was having to deal with boosters, if that bothered him at Oregon then USC is going to make him homicidal in seconds. It just seems like a really poor fit.
It would also be pretty weird to give an NFL coach control of personnel then fire him after one season. Especially since the Eagles' ownership hardly seems like the type to fire quickly (how long did Andy Reid stink up the place?).

Can you imagine the reaction from the alums when he stands up and tells them the UCLA game is no bigger than Arizona? That Notr Dame is no bigger than Utah? Yeah, that'll play well.
