Feldman reporting he injured his ankle:

Hopefully he can go.  If not, next man up.  Just another obstacle for this team to overcome.  Neither team is deep and both have injuries.  GO TREES!

Not like U.S.C. feels sorry for Stanford with their top 2 MLBs out.

Would be nice to see Noor Davis step up, but man would I like to see Mustafa Branch play if Martinez can't go.

Re: Martinez doubtful? - yvonne - 12-05-2015

Is that feeling I just sensed foreboding?

Re: Martinez doubtful? - needle - 12-05-2015

I'd expect to see both Noor Davis and Craig Jones play if Martinez can't go.

I'd like to think either Mike Tyler or Joey Alfieri have taken some reps inside, but I've never seen it myself.

You don't want Jones to play. Trust me. Martinez is playing.

News or wishful thinking?

Martinez is a go.

It will take more than a bum ankle to sideline Martinez.  He's a fighter and will continue to fight for his teammates.

Re: Martinez doubtful? - socalstanfan1 - 12-05-2015

I'm sure Martinez will give it a go and do everything he can.  But this still bears watching.  A bum wheel is a bum wheel, and can limit mobility or worsen if it gets cold during long offensive drives.

Need Noor Davis and Kevin Palma to step up here and shine if Martinez is limited.

Re: Martinez doubtful? - doublespiral - 12-05-2015

On the radio, Husak said that Martinez was out there for the warm ups and that he was taped up and going through drills, albeit a bit gingerly. Sounds like he'll play, just won't be 100%.

Quote: Linebacker Blake Martinez had injured his ankle in practice just four days earlier. He wore a boot on it for two days, so his status for the Pac-12 title game was in doubt.

What's wrong with it? Martinez hurt his ankle but played anyway, just as reported.

Re: Martinez doubtful? - BrevinsBest - 12-06-2015

You think that's bad? Take a look at the picture and then read the caption.

Re: Martinez doubtful? - ChicagoCard - 12-06-2015

That's hysterical!
