"Stanford will take on Iowa in the Rose Bowl Game on Jan. 1 at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California.
It will be the first ever meeting between Stanford (11-2, 8-1 Pac-12) and Iowa (12-1, 8-1 Big Ten), and the fourth straight season the Cardinal will meet a Big Ten Conference opponent in a bowl game.
Stanford is making its school-record seventh straight bowl appearance.
Now in its 15th appearance all-time in the Rose Bowl Game, Stanford returns to Pasadena for the third time in four seasons. The Cardinal won the 2012 edition of the contest over Wisconsin, and fell to Michigan State in 2013."

Huh, the B1G counts the title game as a conference game but the Pac-12 doesn't? That's interesting.

I'm disappointed in the moment, as I would have loved for this Stanford team to get the national spotlight on New Year's Day.
That won't happen with this match-up, given Ohio State vs. ND is another match-up on the same day. But I can't exactly say Iowa is undeserving.
