Go Mighty Card book drive -
JJJ - 01-19-2016
I hope I'm not out of line here (if so, please delete this, Admins). The Go Mighty Card book drive came across my facebook feed. As a 7-month reader here, I don't know what the correct protocol is, but I'm thinking Hank91 doesn't want to post it himself or he would've already, so I thought I would, at the risk of upsetting the balance of the Force...

In a nutshell:
Quote:This year I'd like to read Wonder by R.J. Palacio, an achingly beautiful book that you should read yourself if you haven't already. It's a story that will do more than teach my students the joy of reading, it will teach them empathy, tolerance, and compassion, qualities which are sometimes lacking in the middle school student.
So if you've enjoyed reading my site this year and feel like you want to send a thank you, here's your chance. Just click on this link and jump over to my Amazon wish list. You can help us build a class set of Wonder, or you can peruse the rest of the list and choose a book or two to add to my lending library. Either way, you'll be changing a child's life for the better. What could be better than that?

Thank you for fixing it. :)

Thanks, J[sup]3[/sup], for spreading the word. It's a good cause, and my students get excited every year when the new books start to arrive. So much fun!
