Latest Directors Cup Standings -

The good news?
We're in the lead by over 200 points.
The strange news? They seem to have omitted women's swimming despite counting towards the point totals. We're 90 short of what we should have for our winter total to be accurate, which is exactly what second place in swimming is worth.
Last year's 2-5, UCLA, USC, Florida, and UNC respectively, aren't even in the top five.

Clearly not scoring in Rifle, Skiing and Women's ice hockey is dragging us down! :P
Thanks for posting!

Rifle seems like a fairly easy team for Stanford to field...except for the militaristic bent that would send the FacSen into a tizzy. Too bad archery never made it out of the NCAA emerging sport classification, sigh.

So, having eliminated worry about The Streak so early in the year, will we avoid spring quarter "will we do it again?" questions about the Cup too?

I doubt it, as they are separate indicators of sustained athletic excellence.
With Women's Basketball finishing 5th and Fencing finishing 11th in their respective championships, Stanford's Cup total is now about 944. That's eight more points than these same sports earned last year.
Geaux Cardinal!
