Another national championship. (Ho hum :) - Rally - 03-27-2016

Synchronized swimming.  Beat defending champs Ohio Stae and crushed third place finisher University of the Incarnate Word.

I thought Univ of Incarnate Word was a joke, perhaps some sort of obscure Easter reference, but this is indeed a real school.  They even have the cardinals (the bird, in this instance, thought I'd have thought maybe this would be a reference to the religious title) as their mascot.

Oh yes.  The UIW Fighting Cardinals field teams in multiple sports, including football, basketball (like us, though, they missed out on the Big Dance this year.). Bus. School, etc.  Too bad the band missed out on this national championship.  Can't figure out if the points count towards the Director's Cup or not.

My first thought was that it was The University of the Incarnate Devil, a reference to Notre Dame.
