So Stanford claims at least 3 #1 QB draft picks:  Plunkett, Elway, and Luck.  Are there any others?  And have other schools surpassed that number?

ESPN Radio ran a segment--I guess they aired a podcast, if I have my lingo right--asking NFL players about their draft experience, including Andrew Luck.

Thanks, Embo.  The entire list of #1 draft picks (1936 on) is at http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/alltimeno1
We boast 4; as you might guess, the Domers have had 2 (1944 and 1946).  No one else even comes close.  ;D

We are at least tied with Oklahoma, which has had five runners up.  Theirs were Adrian Peterson (04), Josh Heupel (00), Billy Sims (79), Greg Pruitt (72) and Kurt Burris (54).

In second place is Noter Dame, Iowa, Tennessee and USC with four runners up.  It just seems like we have more because ours have been very recent.
