MIT football -

We have commented before how this seems like a guy we missed. What he says about MIT football speaks well of both him and MIT. Nice to read after reading the Baylor information.

Thanks for sharing. How can one not feel a little bit better after reading this story?

Getting admitted to graduate school at MIT is tough. Getting As once you get there is dead easy. I don't have any proof, but I'd bet the median GPA in his program is at least 3.75 (or, in MIT terms, 4.75. MIT's GPAs are on a 5.0 scale.)
Neverthelss, Urschel is my hero.

I went to the institute for six years. This is not idle chat.
In my world, people who study Math look down their noses at those who study Applied Math, who do the same to Computer Science, who do the same to Operations Research. I studied Operations Research. So Urschel is several rungs above me.

I have no doubt that MIT's proximity to Baltimore was an added bonus, but it would have been nice for him to have showed up in the Quad for graduate studies :D

And since I studied I.E. (long since merged into MSE but often called Imaginary Engineering), and never went to the institute, I look up to you. :P

As someone who studies maths, this is true.
