I had a great dream last night -
amartinsu13 - 06-28-2016
I was dreaming I was shopping at a Home Depot with my girlfriend, but I was trying to rush her out of the store (like I always do) so I could go home and watch the game.
When we got home, Stanford was beating Alabama 35-10 in the 4th quarter.
I think I may be too obsessed with Stanford Football...
Anyone else have any Stanford Football dreams? Or better yet, when are we finally going to get to play Bama??
(Yes, it's the dead season... need something to talk about!)

I definitely get a little stir crazy this time of year, sports-wise. I like baseball just fine but by itself it is not enough to get me through the summer.

I do occasionally, and whenever I do it's always one of the following:
1) I am somehow missing the game. The reason varies, either vagaries with getting to the venue (never Stanford Stadium, always someplace random) or problems seeing it on TV.
2) We are losing, and I usually don't know why (see above).
My subconscious is apparently concerned about these things.

Well...it's not Martin Luther King but it's pretty good.

Pretty much the same here. I hate it when my dreams are things I would totally never do, like miss a game or forget about an entire class in high school/college. Perhaps there's some psychological reason for that.

I have the "miss the entire class the entire quarter" dream. Used to have it often. In some cases, it's "miss all the classes, all quarter--don't even know which ones I signed up for, where they meet, where the final is being held."Â
No Stanford football dreams, but I used to have the playing football dream where I'm trying to get to a ball carrier and my legs won't move. Again, haven't had that one in years.Â

I don't any more. I've lived most of them. Natty is the only one missing. I don't give a rat's patoot about the Heis.man any more.

This topic clearly set me off, because last night I had a dream where I was traveling and missed the beginning of the USC game. Then when I tuned in the scoreboard was something stupid like 28-96 after one quarter. There was some goofiness on the field too, one of our players showboated going into the endzone and then was stripped, then the USC player who recovered showboated while returning and was in turn stripped. Doubt we'll ever see that play happen...

I dreamed that Stanford won the conference title, went to the Rose Bowl, scored a TD on the first play of the game, opened up a 35-0 halftime lead, and cruised to an easy Rose Bowl victory on a perfect day in Pasadena.
Oh, wait . . .
That really happened!

Yup> I told my friends at halftime to just put me on an icefloe and push. It's not gonna get any better.

I have that one and several other "back at school anxiety dreams". Sometimes I've forgotten to register or sign up for my classes, or realize if I'm in school that means I don't have my job/income, or if I'm in grad school I have to pick a major and it can't be another ME degree.
But one of them is related to Stanford football, and yours. I remember that I'm a walk-on player and its game day. But I don't know how to get to the stadium, or don't have a uniform, lost the locker room, etc. Its an infrequent scenario, even rarer that I make it onto the field.

Stanford is playing Alabama and you're at Home Depot? You're problem may not be obsession with Stanford Football.

You just proved my point terry, thanks :)
